Schou is a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which is
a business-driven platform that works to promote trade and social improvements
in the supply chain.

BSCI is a member organisation for close to 2,000 European companies and trade
associations, which bases its work on a code, the BSCI Code of Conduct and
BSCI System Rules and Functioning. Thus, a common set of ethical rules have
been set up, aimed at improving working conditions and the social situation at all the
members’ suppliers. 

Through membership we also ensure that suppliers respect human rights and that
our products are manufactured in an ethically, socially and environmentally
responsible manner. This means that all our suppliers, as part of the contract,
must sign Schou/BSCI’s Code of Conduct.
